This app is free for subscribers to www.TheAirlinePilots.com. It requires an internet connection to run as it stores data on a secure server. Nothing is stored on the cell phone itself, therefore no risk of loosing data if cell phone is lost. This app shares a common database with the online version of this flight log. Therefore you can add and view flight records by either this app or the online version (https://www.theairlinepilots.com/flightlog) using the same username and password. If you are already using another logbook and want to start using this logbook, you can use the "Brought Forward" option to make a single line entry to add your total block hours (also night and instrument if you desire) so that subsequent entries in this log can give you correct totals. While adding the flight record you just have to mention the date and time. Software will automatically calculate your block hours, thus preventing typographical errors. For other entries, you can easily edit and correct typographical errors or delete any record you desire. You can filter the records to display only those which you desire along with relevant totals. The procedure is simple, select the dates between which you want to search and then select a criterion and search words e.g. If you want that only flights between 1st Jan and 30th Jan are shown and only those flights which are flown out of a particular airport, then select "From" and "TO" dates, criterion "Dep Airport" and in search words enter the airport name you are looking for like "EGLL" or whatever you entered in your log. In case you just want to display data between two dates, you dont need to enter any search words. It automatically calculates and displays the hours flown in the last 6 days, 29 days and 364 days. This is always displayed on the home page so that every time you log in, you know how much extra you can fly to avoid busting your weekly, monthly or yearly limit. You can add important documents names (e.g. Licences etc) and their expiry dates in the document section. A document within 30 days of expiry will give an amber alert while a document within 5 days (or one that has expired) will give a red alert. Hope this is of help. In case of any errors feel free to report.
